Indian Air Force’s Spectacular Air Display in Guwahati Marks 91st Anniversary Celebration

Guwahati, 15th October: The Indian Air Force (IAF) commemorated its 91st anniversary with an awe-inspiring air display at Air Force Station in Guwahati’s Borjhar. This event was part of the outreach initiative organized by HQ Eastern Air Command and served as a fitting celebration of the IAF’s rich legacy and capabilities.

Air Marshal SP Dharkar PVSM AVSM, the Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, graced the event as the chief guest, adding to the occasion’s significance.

The aerial display included a thrilling Flypast featuring an impressive lineup of aircraft, including ALH, Dornier, Rafale, and SU 30. These aircraft performed breathtaking formation flying that showcased the IAF’s exceptional flying skills and precision. The grand finale of the event was a mesmerizing display by the SARANG display team, which left the audience in awe.

The air show drew hundreds of spectators, including civil, state, and defense dignitaries, children, and the general public. It was a testament to the IAF’s professionalism, precision, and flying expertise, capturing the hearts and minds of all in attendance.

The official establishment of the Indian Air Force occurred on October 8, 1932. Every year, on this date, the IAF celebrates Air Force Day to commemorate its rich history and honor the dedication and valor of its personnel. This year’s 91st-anniversary celebration marked the occasion with great enthusiasm and fervor across various air stations throughout the country.
