Northeast Desk, 29th April: The Indian Army orchestrated a poignant ex-servicemen rally dedicated to veterans and valiant women, famously known as veer naris, at the esteemed Tawang military station on Sunday, April 28, as outlined in an official press communiqué.
The event unfolded with a solemn wreath-laying ceremony at the revered Tawang War Memorial, where veterans paid homage to the gallant soldiers who steadfastly defended Tawang during the harrowing 1962 conflict.
A gathering of over 150 veterans, veer naris, and next-of-kin veterans from various corners of Tawang congregated to commemorate the occasion and partake in the array of amenities offered at the venue.
