Indian Army Organizes Medical Camp for School Children in Jalpaiguri

National Desk, 16th February: On February 16, 2024, Trishakti Corps organized a medical camp for pre-primary students of Ajoy Ghosh Memorial Government School in Gairkata, District Jalpaiguri. The initiative aimed to ensure the well-being of the young students and promote healthy habits within the community.

A team of Army doctors conducted thorough medical and dental check-ups for more than 150 students, followed by laboratory tests as advised by the medical professionals. Deworming doses and prescribed medicines were provided free of cost, ensuring access to essential healthcare services for all.

In addition to medical assessments, the students benefited from a lecture titled ‘Healthy and Happy: Way of Life,’ delivered by the team of doctors. The session aimed to educate the students on the importance of adopting healthy lifestyle habits for their overall well-being.

As a gesture of support and encouragement, the Army team also distributed stationery items to the school children, which were warmly received by the young recipients.

The Principal, school staff, and students expressed sincere gratitude to the Indian Army for organizing the medical camp and extending valuable healthcare services to the school community. The noble act of the Army doctors was highly appreciated, highlighting the spirit of cooperation and community support fostered by such initiatives.
