Indian Army Soldier Commended for Heroic Rescue of Critically Ill Patient in Arunachal Pradesh

Northeast Desk, 24th July: In a remarkable display of bravery and compassion, Lance Naik Oram Sangchoju of the 2nd Arunachal Scouts has been widely praised for his heroic act of carrying a critically ill patient to the hospital on his back in Arunachal Pradesh’s West Kameng district. The soldier’s selfless action took place near Tippi in the Bhalukpong sub-division, where he navigated a blocked point to ensure the patient received timely medical care.

The incident, which occurred recently, has garnered widespread admiration and appreciation. Chief Minister Pema Khandu took to social media to commend the soldier’s actions, stating, “An image that will remain etched in our minds forever!” He further lauded the dedication and humanitarian spirit of the Indian Army personnel, adding, “Our @adgpi personnel not only guard our borders but also demonstrate extraordinary humanitarian gestures by helping those in need.
