Indian Army’s Gajraj Corps Hosts Grand Ex-Servicemen Rally at Tenga Station in Arunachal
Itanagar: Reaffirming its steadfast commitment to the welfare of veterans, Veer Naris, and their families, the Indian Army’s Gajraj Corps hosted a grand Ex-Servicemen Rally at Tenga Military Station in Arunachal Pradesh on June 14. The event witnessed overwhelming participation, with over 800 veterans, war widows, and dependents gathering to celebrate their enduring bond with the armed forces.
The occasion was graced by Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt Gen K T Parnaik (Retd), who was joined by the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of Gajraj Corps, the GOC of the Ball of Fire Division, and other senior military and civilian dignitaries. The presence of these leaders highlighted the significance of the event and the collective gratitude for the contributions made by the veteran community.
Key organisations such as the Army Welfare Placement Organisation (AWPO), Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS), Directorate of Indian Army Veterans (DIAV), Army Recruiting Office (ARO) Jorhat, the State Rehabilitation Office, and other departments of the state administration extended their support to the rally. Their involvement ensured a comprehensive outreach, providing essential services and support to ex-servicemen and their families.
The rally featured grievance redressal counters, medical check-ups, a blood donation camp, and cultural programmes, reflecting both care and camaraderie. It served as a vibrant platform to address concerns, offer assistance, and express respect and gratitude toward those who have served the nation.
Jointly organised by the Indian Army and the Arunachal Pradesh state administration, the rally underscored a shared commitment to honouring the selfless service of veterans and encouraging their continued engagement in nation-building efforts.
