Itanagar: A group of 15 students and one teacher from Mahabodhi School in Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh, have set off on a 10-day National Integration Tour organized by the Indian Army’s Gajraj Corps under Operation Sadbhavana.
The tour aims to foster unity and provide these young participants with a firsthand look at India’s cultural heritage and modern development.
During the tour, the students will visit iconic landmarks, including the Taj Mahal, Qutub Minar, Vrindavan, and the Nehru Planetarium, giving them a rich introduction to India’s historical and spiritual sites. Beyond sightseeing, the tour offers the students an inspiring opportunity to engage with senior government officials, encouraging them to think about their futures and the potential contributions they can make to their country.
The Defence Ministry emphasized that these tours are intended to be both educational and motivational, specifically benefiting youth from regions like Jammu and Kashmir and the North East. The aim is to broaden participants’ perspectives by exposing them to career options, developmental initiatives, and interactions with notable figures.
Reflecting the Indian Army’s commitment to national integration, this tour under Operation Sadbhavana highlights efforts to strengthen community ties and foster a sense of pride and belonging among young people across India’s diverse regions.
