National Desk, 16th December: The Indian National Congress on December 16 announced the launch of an online crowdfunding initiative titled ‘Donate for this’ under the leadership of party chief Mallikarjun Kharge. The campaign is set to be officially inaugurated on December 18, with the aim of empowering party workers, inspired by Mahatma Gandhi.
Two online portals have been established for this crowdfunding campaign, emphasizing door-to-door visits targeting at least 10 houses from each booth. The initiative aims to collect Rs 138 from each house, Rs 1380 from all state-level office bearers, district presidents, and AECC, while also encouraging those capable to donate at least Rs 13800.
In addition to the crowdfunding initiative, a massive rally is planned in Nagpur on December 28, coinciding with the foundation day of the Indian National Congress. The rally is expected to be attended by senior party leaders, with a participation estimate of a minimum of 10 lakh Congress workers and leaders from across the country.
Participants in the ‘Donate for this’ initiative will receive certificates, and a confirmation text will be sent to their registered mobile numbers after the donation. The initiative combines digital fundraising with on-the-ground engagement to strengthen the party’s financial resources.
