Indian & SA Teams To Arrive In Guwahati On Sept 29

Guwahati: The cricket teams from India and South Africa will arrive in Guwahati for the T20 encounter on September 29.

The BCCI officials informed that the South Africa team will come after the Indian team.

Both teams will land on different aircraft at Borjhar’s Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport and check into the Radisson Blu.

The teams will drill on the Barsapara field on September 30 in preparation for their match, which will take place on October 2.

The Assam Cricket Association Secretary Devajeet Saikia reported that the organisation had received the whole schedule from the BCCI.

The teams are expected to depart from Guwahati on September 3.

Meanwhile, there are two phases to the sale of match tickets. 15,000 tickets were sold in total starting on September 16.

For the second phase, another 5,000 tickets will be up for sale from September 26.

The ACA had said that beginning on September 25, hard copies of tickets would be available at Nehru Stadium. Additionally, BookMyShow will offer online ticket booking.

The ACA has also stated that preparations are nearly finished for the first T20 international match to be played in the city following the disaster at the Barsapara stadium in January 2020. The BCCI received the field for inspection on September 18.
