Indian Sepaktakraw Teams Shine at 2024 Asian Beach Sepaktakraw Championship in China, Nagaland Athletes Play Key Role

Northeast Desk, 24th September: Indian sepaktakraw teams earned notable achievements at the 2024 Asian Beach Sepaktakraw Championship held in Qingdao, China, with strong performances from athletes representing Nagaland. The women’s team secured a silver medal in the regu event, while the men’s team brought home a bronze.

The women’s team included Sezovelu Dozo, Rukuvinu Tsükrü, Mongshai, and Angshan Konyak, all hailing from Nagaland. Medotsü Dozo, another talent from Nagaland, represented India in the men’s team.

Abu Metha, Adviser to the Nagaland Chief Minister, expressed pride in the athletes’ accomplishments, stating on social media, “Congratulations. Thank you for making India proud and Nagaland shine.”

The success of these athletes marks a significant achievement for both India and Nagaland on the international stage.
