India’s Savitri Jindal became Asia’s richest woman

Guwahati: Indian businesswoman Savitri Jindal has now become Asia’s richest woman.

According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Jindal’s net worth is $11.3 billion.

Yang Huiyan of China has been surpassed by Savitri at the top of the list. Huiyan, who controls China’s largest real estate developer Country Garden Holdings, the largest real estate developer in China, saw her entire wealth fall to $11 billion from almost $24 billion the previous year. She actually lost more than $1 billion in a single day.

It should be noted that Savitri Jindal is the 10th richest person in India in addition to being the wealthiest woman in Asia. She took over the reins of the Jindal Group after her husband and Jindal Group founder OP Jindal died in a helicopter crash in 2005.

The Jindal Group is one of the biggest corporations in the nation. Naveen Jindal oversees Jindal Steel & Power while her son Sajjan Jindal manages JSW Steel.

She has also worked in Haryana’s Bhupinder Singh administration as a minister.
