Guwahati: A major accident was avoided at Jorhat Airport in Assam on Thursday afternoon when an Indigo airport with passengers on board went off the runway upon take-off.
According to reports, the Indigo flight 6E757 went off the runway and hit the ground just as it was about to take off for Kolkata.
The problem prevented the jet from leaving Jorhat at its scheduled time of 2.20 pm.
Reportedly, the passengers were safely evacuated from the aircraft after the incident, and no injuries have been mentioned.
