IndiGo passenger finds seat cushion missing on flight, airline reacts

National Desk, 27th November: In a peculiar incident on IndiGo flight 6E-6798 from Pune to Nagpur, a passenger discovered that her seat cushion was missing.

Despite notifying the cabin crew, she found herself standing in the aisle, prompting a crew member to bring a spare cushion from another seat.

The passenger has been Sagarika Patnaik.

Sagarika’s husband, Subrat Patnaik, expressed dissatisfaction on social media, questioning the airline’s oversight. In response, IndiGo stated that seat cushions can sometimes get dislodged and can be repositioned by the crew.

Subrat raised concerns about the pre-flight cleaning and inspection process, highlighting the failure of both cleaning staff and cabin crew to notice the missing cushion.

Aviation expert Dhairyashil Vandekar criticized the incident, emphasizing that airlines should not provide passengers with broken or unserviceable seats.
