Intensive Search Operations Conducted by Manipur Security Forces in Fringe and Vulnerable Regions
Northeast Desk, 15th June: Security forces in Manipur have launched intensive search operations and conducted house-to-house searches across the fringe and vulnerable regions of Manipur’s hill and valley districts.
In a significant operation, security personnel verified the identities of 140 individuals during a meticulous house-to-house search at Jakuradhor Part-II village under Borobekra PS, Jiribam District. The operation covered approximately 30 to 40 houses in the area.
Manipur Police took to microblogging site X to announce the operation, stating, “Search operations and area domination were conducted by security forces in the fringe and vulnerable areas of hill and valley districts. Security forces carried out a house-to-house search at Jakuradhor Part-II village, covering around 30-40 houses under Borobekra PS, Jiribam District, and verified approximately 140 persons. No untoward incident occurred during the operation.”
These intensified operations are part of Manipur Police’s ongoing efforts to ensure stability and safety in the state, particularly in areas susceptible to security challenges.
