Guwahati: The Guwahati Police busted an international drugs trafficking network and arrested two persons on Saturday.
The two arrested persons hail from Nigeria an African country on the Gulf of Guinea.
The police officials further recovered 20 grams of cocaine from the peddlers.
Sharing the news on Twitter, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “#AssamAgainstDrugs @GuwahatiPol hits an international drugs supply chain! In an operation led by JCP Partha Mahanta, 20 gram Cocaine has been seized. Also, two accused from Nigeria have been apprehended. Well done. Keep it up @assampolice 👏👍”
