Israel-Palestine Conflict: Nepali Students Killed in Hamas Attack Brought Home

International Desk, 22nd October: Tragedy struck as three Nepali students, victims of a Hamas attack amid the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict, were repatriated to Kathmandu on October 22. The somber return comes as the body of another Nepali student is anticipated to be brought to the capital later in the day.

Approximately 50 students from Nepal were residing in the border area between Israel and Gaza, specifically on a kibbutz in Alumim. On October 7, this peaceful enclave fell under attack from Hamas militants, resulting in these distressing casualties. It is worth noting that since the inception of the current conflict on that fateful day, a staggering toll of at least 4,200 individuals has lost their lives in Israel and Palestine.

The tragic loss of the three Nepali students is believed to have occurred due to gunshot wounds and shrapnel from grenades. Furthermore, there are concerns that one Nepali student may have been taken hostage by Hamas, adding to the distressing toll exacted by the conflict.
