ITBP Rescues 56 Stranded Civilians in Sikkim Flash Floods
Northeast Desk, 8th October: The Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) has successfully rescued 56 civilians, including four women and 52 men, who were stranded due to the recent flash floods in Sikkim. These rescues were carried out using a ropeway constructed by the ITBP in North Sikkim’s Chungthang area.
In addition to these rescue efforts, the Indian Army has been actively involved in ensuring the timely restoration of civil cellular communications to aid stranded tourists in Chungthang, Lachung, and Lachen in North Sikkim.
