Jean Castex who hails from Les Republicans of Prades Party (LM) and his appointment came in the wake of the resignation of former Prime Minister Edouard Philippe who stepped down earlier Friday and gave his resignation. The new government will start working from July 8. The French President Emmanuel Macron appointed as minister of deconfinement back in April.
Jean Castex started his career with positions in the ministries of health and labor before joining the government of former President Nicolas Sarkozy in several posts and on the other hand France is on heavy lockdown from March due the ongoing pandemic.
