Guwahati, 19th September: Jio has launched its new JioAirFiber services, which were announced earlier during its annual general meeting. In the initial phase, Jio AirFiber will be available in eight cities: Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Pune.
Jio is targeting a segment with a potential market size of over 200 million Indian homes. The service delivers fiber-like speed over the air without the need for wires. Users simply need to plug it in and turn it on to have a personal WiFi hotspot at their homes.
Jio AirFiber is a fixed wireless access solution that provides high-speed connectivity of up to 1 Gbps to homes and offices. It supports multiple devices, including smartphones, PCs, tablets, smart TVs, and set-top boxes, all simultaneously without compromising on internet speeds.
