J&K: 2 LeT militants, including 1 Pakistani killed in Kupwara
Guwahati: The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir Vijay Kumar announced on Tuesday that security forces had neutralised two Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militants, one of them was identified as a Pakistani.
Kumar said that two terrorists were killed in an encounter in the Chakatras Kandi area in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir
He said that the Pakistani terrorist’s code name was Tufail, and that the second terrorist’s name was Tral’s Ishtiaq Lone.
Kumar said, “Two LeT terrorists were slain – one of whom was a Pakistani terrorist with the code name ‘Tufail.'” The other was Tral’s Ishtiaq Lone, who had recently joined.”
The IGP further stated that two AK-56 weapons were retrieved from the neutralised militants, reported ANI.
It may be noted that another Pakistani terrorist linked to the banned LeT was killed in a separate encounter on Monday.
He was identified as Hanzalla of Pakistan’s Lahore from the documents recovered from his possession.
