Guwahati: In another attack on civilians in Jammu and Kashmir, a bank employee was shot dead by terrorists in the Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday.
The deceased identified as Vijay Kumar, a resident of Hanumangarh in Rajasthan.
Kumar was the Bank Manager of Elaqahi Dehati Bank.
Reportedly, Kumar was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital but doctors declared him brought dead.
However, the area has been cordoned off.
Meanwhile, members of the Hindu community employed in Kashmir protested in Jammu, demanding the safety of members of the community.
It needs to be mentioned that the incident occurs in a series of attacks on non-local people. On May 31, a non-Islamic school teacher was shot dead by terrorists in the same district. On May 12, an employee of Kashmir Pandhita (Hindu) was shot dead by a militant at a government agency in the Tesirchadora office in the central Bhajan district of Kashmir.
