Guwahati: Militants launched a grenade attack which resulted in injuring several civilians in Srinagar of Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday.
According to the Srinagar Police, the incident took place in the Nishat area where terrorists threw a grenade, resulting in a low-intensity burst and minor injuries were sustained by several people.
As per reports, all of the injured patients received first aid and they were released from the hospital.
Reportedly, police have opened an investigation and begun searching to find the terrorists.
Meantime, the Jammu and Kashmir Police prevented a significant terror attack on Sunday by finding an improvised explosive device (IED) in the Pulwama district that weighed between 10- 12 kilos. Security personnel located the IED in the Tral area of Beihgund in the south Kashmir district.
