Guwahati: A 29-year- the old policeman was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in the Srinagar district of Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Tausif Ahmed.
According to reports, the incident took place around 8:00 pm in the Batamaloo area of Srinagar.
He was rushed to Shri Maharaja Hari Singh (SMHS) Hospital, however, the doctor declared him brought dead.
It may be mentioned that the affected area was cordoned off and further investigation into the matter is carried on by the police officials of the state.
