Joe Biden sworn in as 46th US President, PM Modi Congratulates
Joe Biden has been sworn in as the 46th President of the United States at the Inauguration Day ceremony in Washington DC on Wednesday. Biden had won the presidential election with 306 Electoral College votes, while Donald Trump got 232 votes.

However Donald Trump did not attend the inauguration and became the first outgoing president to not attend the Inaugural ceremony since 1869. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi wished Joe Biden for becoming the 46th US President. PM Modi in twitter wrote “My warmest congratulations to Joe Biden on his assumption of office as President of the United States of America,” PM Modi tweeted. “I look forward to working with him to strengthen India-US strategic partnership,” he added.
