Jogen Mohan flags off exposure trip of RCCC for trainees

Guwahati: Assam Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Jogen Mohan flagged off an exposure trip of Recorders Certificate Class Course (RCCC) trainees to North Eastern Space Applications Centre (NESAC), Meghalaya from Assam Survey & Settlement Training Centre on Monday.

This training programme at NESAC, which runs from February 21 to 25, is being held in accordance with the spirit of the Memorandum of Understanding signed by the North Eastern Space Applications Centre and the Assam Survey & Settlement Centre.

For the first time, RCCC trainees will receive specialized instruction in GIS, Remote Sensing, and Drone Technology.

It is projected to be tremendously advantageous to land revenue administration field workers in terms of efficient land management.

The minister noted that training centres play an important role in boosting the effectiveness of government employees in their various professions.

He stated that lat mandals have an important role in land-related concerns, and that the use of contemporary technologies will assist them greatly in dealing with land-related issues.

The use of contemporary technology in land surveying would also help flagship programmes like ‘Misson Basundhara,'” the Minister remarked.

The flag-off ceremony was also attended by Amitabh Rajkhowa, Commissioner & Secretary to the Government of Assam, Revenue & DM Department, and Pankaj Chakravarty, Principal of Assam Survey & Settlement Training Centre.
