Justice Siddharth Mridul takes oath as Chief Justice Of Manipur HC

Northeast Desk, 20th October: Justice Siddharth Mridul on October 20 took oath as the new Chief Justice of the Manipur High Court. Manipur Governor Anusuiya Uikey administered the oath at the Raj Bhawan in Imphal.

The swearing-in ceremony was attended by Chief Minister N Biren Singh and his cabinet ministers.

Expressing his joy at the appointment, the newly sworn-in Chief Justice of the Manipur High Court conveyed his commitment to addressing the approximately 3,335 pending cases with the utmost dedication during his tenure.

Chief Minister N Biren Singh extended gratitude to the Central government for appointing a regular Chief Justice for Manipur, ending the period of in-charge management.

Notably, the Manipur High Court had been under the oversight of Acting Chief Justice M.V. Muralidharan since the Chief Justice’s post became vacant in February 2023.
