Juventus & Real Madrid take exit from UEFA Champions League
Two big football clubs of Europe Real Madrid & Juventus were knocked out of the prestigious UEFA Champions League on late Friday night. Fans of the both clubs were in disaster for the loss but the Barcelona fans were left in jubilation as the their top two rival teams have been knocked out of the UCL.
Manchester City secured a 4-2 aggregate win over Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 which decided the exit of 13 time UCL champion Real Madrid. On the other hand Juventus were beaten by Lyon on away goal basis with aggregate score being 2-2.
Real Madrid went to the iconic Eithad stadium to reverse their home defeat but Manchester City outplayed them on an aggregate 4-2. The biggest shock came on from Turin, Italy where the Serie A champions Juventus were knocked out of the Champions League by Lyon. Juventus were beaten 1-0 by Lyon in the first leg and could only secure a 2-1 win in the second leg at home. With an 2-2 aggregate Lyon qualified for the next round on basis of scoring more away goals.
Juventus loss also shattered Ronaldo’s Champions League win dream with Juventus , and some reports claims manager Maurizio Sarri’s might be sacked soon. While the Real Madrid fans have blamed Raphael Varane for the defeat.
