KAAC Elections: BJP Candidates sweeps From 16 Constituencies
Guwahati: Assam’s Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Prabhat Chandra Teron is leading in the Duar Amla constituency in the West Karbi Anglong district, where counting for the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) elections began on Sunday.
In addition, BJP candidate D Ufing Machlai is leading in the Amri seat, while BJP candidate Amar Singh Ticchu is leading in the Singhason constituency.
Abhijit Krar, Hedsing Rongfar, Longbison Bey, and Surja Rongfa, all BJP candidates, are leading in the Chinthong, Socheng, Rongkhang, and Borjan constituencies, respectively.
Meanwhile, the BJP’s Madhurjya Dhekial Phukan leads in Bokajan, while the UDFS’s candidate leads in Sarupathar.
Sorban Telenga, a BJP candidate, is leading from the Deopani constituency. BJP candidate Bil Mohan leads in the Langhin constituency.
Furthermore, BJP candidate Kangbura Kiling is ahead in the Phuloni constituency, while Lunsing Teron, the party’s candidate in Mahamaya, is also leading.
Furthermore, BJP candidate Raju Tees leads in the Kokanthi constituency, while BJP candidate Ajit Kumar Dey leads in the Howraghat constituency.
Ritesh Hinghi and Tilottoma Hasnu, the ruling party’s candidates in Namati and Dhansiri, respectively, lead from their respective constituencies.
In total, BJP candidates are leading in 16 of the KAAC’s constituencies, while UDFS candidates are leading in one.
