Kamal Nath Dismisses Speculations of Party Switch, Affirms Loyalty to Congress

National Desk, 19th February: Congress leader Kamal Nath quashed rumours of switching parties on Monday, reaffirming his allegiance to the Congress party. During a meeting with his supporters at his residence in New Delhi, Nath dismissed speculations and emphasized his enduring bond with the Congress and the Gandhi family.

Speculation had arisen regarding Nath and his son, Lok Sabha MP Nakul Nath, potentially joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). However, Madhya Pradesh Congress chief Jitu Patwari swiftly refuted such claims, asserting that Kamal Nath had no intentions of leaving the party.

Patwari criticized the BJP for allegedly manipulating the media to cast doubt on Nath’s integrity, labeling the rumours as part of a larger conspiracy. He reiterated Nath’s commitment to the Congress ideology, asserting that Nath remains dedicated to the party.

Despite the swirling rumours, Nath and his son arrived in Delhi on Saturday. Nakul Nath’s removal of the Congress mention from his social media bio further fueled speculation. Additionally, several Madhya Pradesh MLAs loyal to Kamal Nath arrived in Delhi on Sunday, leading to conjecture about a potential party switch.

In response to these developments, Nath’s party colleague Digvijaya Singh expressed confidence in Nath’s loyalty to the Congress. Meanwhile, Congress leader Sajjan Singh Verma, a close associate of Kamal Nath, met with the former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister in Delhi. Verma reiterated Nath’s focus on preparations for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, emphasizing Nath’s commitment to the party and its electoral strategies in Madhya Pradesh.

Nath’s stance and actions, as affirmed by party colleagues and supporters, indicate his unwavering dedication to the Congress party and its objectives.
