Guwahati: Local holiday announced on November 5 by the Kamrup Metro district administration for Diwali celebration.
The administration released an order undersigned by the joint secretary which read, “I am directed to convey the approval of the Governor of Assam with regard to the declaration of “Local holiday” on account of Diwali on 5th November 2021 (Friday).”
As per the order officers, personnel, and teachers involved in the administration of any examinations or other Essential Services in the district are exempt from this local holiday.
It may be mentioned that the Kamrup Rural district administration also announced a local holiday on November 5, 2021, on the occasion of Diwali.
