Kashmir: Suspected IED detected in Baramulla, bomb squad called
Guwahati: The security personnel recovered a suspected improvised explosive device on Wednesday near Kutta Mod Pattan in the Baramulla region of north Kashmir.
According to reports, the bomb disposal squad (BDS) is on the scene, and until further orders, all vehicle traffic along the road has been suspended.
“A suspicious object thought to be an IED is discovered by security forces in Kutta Mod Pattan in the Baramulla District of north Kashmir. Vehicle traffic along the route has been suspended until further notice and a BDS team has been summoned to the scene, according to the Indian Army.
Two terrorists also gave themselves up that day in response to a parental appeal.
They surrendered after an encounter broke out at the Hadigam area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
Kashmir Zone Police in a tweet said, “During the #encounter, 02 local terrorists #surrendered on the #appeal of their parents & police. #Incriminating materials, arms & ammunition recovered.”
