Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan To Visit Finland To Study Education Model
Guwahati: Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will travel there next month following an invitation from the Finnish government.
The purpose of the trip will be to research Finland’s educational system.
According to reports cited by ANI, CM Vijayan’s visit will take place in the first week of October.
State education minister V Sivankutty will reportedly travel with the chief minister.
According to reports, the visits would be made in order to draw in investment and learn from foreign models in a number of important fields. Some other ministers will also be going to Finland, it was added.
Political opponents have questioned the visit in the meanwhile, noting Kerala’s precarious financial status; nevertheless, finance minister K N Balagopal claimed that Kerala was not in any immediate danger.
Balagopal said, “There isn’t a significant financial issue in the state. Even after the Onam festivity, the escheat is secure.”
“He added that the federal government was responsible for the minor situation that officials had mentioned. He claimed that the CM’s and other ministers’ overseas departures are for “good purpose.”
“We also need to learn about international models. In no way would it impact the state exchequer,” Balagopal added.
