Guwahati: Azerbaijan detained a Lawrence Bishnoi associate who is a main suspect in the murder of Punjabi artist Sidhu Moose Wala.
The suspect, Sachin Bishnoi, posed as Tilak Raj Toteja and travelled abroad using a false passport.
He has been on the run since May 29, when he claimed responsibility for the murder of Punjabi singer turned politician Moose Wala in Punjab’s Mansa.
One of the main conspirators in the murder of Moose Wala, Sachin Bishnoi, was said to have left India more than a month before the crime occurred, according to the Delhi Police.
After Satindarjeet Singh, aka Goldy Brar, confessed to killing Moose Wala, the Interpol had issued a Red Corner Notice against him.
The Ambala police detained up to four members of the Goldy Brar gang who were engaged in the shooting last month. They were employed by Goldy Brar, who is located in Canada.
