Khandu Emphasizes Constitutional Awareness for ‘Vikshit Arunachal’

Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu stressed the importance of constitutional awareness among students on Monday.

Speaking at an event commemorating National Constitution Day, Khandu urged the state Assembly Speaker to collaborate with the education department to organize seminars in schools.

The Chief Minister highlighted the significance of understanding the rights and duties enshrined in the Indian Constitution for the state’s progress. He emphasized the need to create a generation of informed citizens who can contribute to the realization of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a ‘Vikshit Bharat’ and a ‘Vikshit Arunachal’ by 2047.

Khandu paid tribute to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution, and acknowledged the contributions of state leaders in shaping Arunachal Pradesh. He expressed concern over the declining quality of education in the state and assured that the government is committed to implementing significant reforms in the education sector within the next three years.

The event was marked by the hoisting of a 131-foot tricolor flag and floral tributes to Dr. Ambedkar and Mahatma Gandhi. Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein and State Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pasang Dorjee Sona also spoke on the occasion, emphasizing the importance of constitutional values and responsibilities.
