Guwahati: A girl from Guwahati of Assam who had been kidnapped has been rescued in Uttar Pradesh.
Reportedly, a minor girl was kidnapped from Rehabari of Guwahati and taken to Uttar Pradesh.
Following the incident, the family members of the minor filed a complaint in the Paltan Bazaar Police Station.
Sleuths of the Paltan Bazaar police had left for Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday. The police rescued the girl after launching search operations.
The minor girl had been abducted by a person who is identified as Ashok Kumar. Moreover, he has been arrested by the police and is under interrogation.
The girl was a seventh-grade student. She reportedly met Ashok over the social networking site Instagram and then been enticed and taken to Uttar Pradesh.
