KMDA launches SWAGATAM visitor management system
Guwahati: The Kamrup Metropolitan District Administration (KMDA) launched the SWAGATAM visitor management system to facilitate a public-official interface on Thursday.
Launching the portal today, Deputy Commissioner, Kamrup Metropolitan District, Pallav Gopal Jha, elucidated the spirit behind the portal. Taking cognizance of how citizens have to often wait to get appointments with officials who themselves are engaged in different duties from time to time, the DC expressed hope that the SWAGATAM portal would enable citizens to seamlessly take appointments with the officials at mutually convenient time slots.
Such a move would likely save time for citizens and officials and enable greater ease and efficiency in the delivery of services to citizens through an interpersonal citizen-official interface.
The Swagatam portal may be accessed at kamrupmetro.swagatam.gov.in and citizens can make appointments with the DC and other senior officials of the district administration. Citizens get alerts about confirmed slots or any changes through this portal.
DC, Kamrup Metropolitan, Pallav Gopal Jha dedicated this portal to the citizens and enthused the officials present to harness the enabling power of technology in the spirit of good governance to the citizens.
