Kohima ranks among top 10 winning cities in ‘Nurturing Neighbourhoods Challenge’
Guwahati: The Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) has declared Kohima as one of the top 10 winning cities in the ‘Nurturing Neighbourhoods Challenge’ as part of its Smart Cities goal.
Kohima has also been named one of the top 11 winning towns in the Streets4People Challenge, a Smart Cities Mission effort that encourages cities to construct pedestrian-friendly streets.
Changes led by the Nurturing Neighbourhoods cohort are “transforming how we plan, design, and manage Indian cities to be healthier, more inclusive places for young children to grow up, which consequently enhances the quality of life for all,” according to Secretary MoHUA Manoj Joshi, who announced the results.
