Guwahati: Actor Aamir Khan was invited to Assam during the Independence Day celebrations to promote the Bollywood version of “Forrest Gump” called Laal Singh Chaddha.
Actor Aamir Khan was scheduled to attend Independence Day festivities in Assam as well as promotional events.
However, following the “Har Ghar Tiranga” celebrations, or post-Independence Day, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has now sent an invitation to Aamir Khan.
Laal Singh Chaddha, a remake of one of the greatest movies ever made, has had a difficult time at the box office due to low attendance, fewer sold-out showings, and unfavourable reviews.
Earlier a few reports stated that Aamir Khan and Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma were reportedly going to watch “Laal Singh Chaddha” together in a theatre. However, there is no confirmation regarding the same as of now.
