Landslide in Assam’s Dima Hasao Disrupt Road Connectivity
Guwahati: Landslides were caused by heavy rains that had been falling for several days in the Dima Hasao district of Assam on Thursday.
Normal life has been disturbed, with road connectivity being cut off in many parts of the district.
According to reports, the route between Haflong and Silchar has been entirely blocked off as the water level has reached the roadway near Kapurcherra.
The Haflong-Lanka Road has also been cut off in many locations.
Meanwhile, police and civil administration employees rescued eleven labourers who were caught on the other bank of the Jatinga River at Harangajao.
