Landslide victory in Thengal Kachari election is proof of massive support to BJP and its allies
Guwahati: The election results to Thengal Kachari Autonomous Council have brought to the fore once again that every ethnic community has deep faith, confidence, and unstinted support in the BJP and its allies.
The results have also exemplified once again that the indigenous communities of the state have outrightly rejected the divisive politics of the Congress party, Asom Jatiya Parishad and Raijor Dal to create misunderstanding in the society through misleading and false insinuations.
In a press statement issued from its Hengrabari based party headquarters in Guwahati on Tuesday, Party Spokespersons Pabitra Margherita and Kalyan Gogoi said that shunning all sorts of divisive politics and misinformation campaign, the indigenous people of the state once again gave their verdict in favour of the BJP.
It was stated that the landslide victory of the BJP and its allies in the Thengal Kachari Autonomous Council election has once again made it crystal clear that the Congress Party and its so-called regional parties have no existence whatsoever in the indigenous society.
It may be worthwhile to mention here that even the people of Thengal Kachari Autonomous Council have rejected the Congress in Titabor, the home constituency of former Chief Minister, Tarun Gogoi, and now sitting Congress MLA. “This is a clinching proof that the indigenous people of the state are now only with BJP and its alliance partners,” they quipped.
The spokespersons asserted that the volte-face made by Raijor Dal and Asom Jatiya Parishad – the two opposition parties that raise hollow slogans only and vitiate the atmosphere in the name of indigenous people – by not waging the electoral battle just prior to the hustings is a pointer to the fact that they have no say or basis among the ethnic communities of the state.
In the press statement, it is also stated that the Assamese people have rejected the anti-Assam policy of the Congress and also the Congress and its coalition partners’ policy of appeasement towards immigrant Muslims.
The Spokespersons further said that the process of strengthening the greater Assamese society by bringing all the indigenous people into one whole was initiated in right earnest by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma led Government of Assam which also have the wholehearted support of State BJP President Bhabesh Kalita under whose leadership each and every segment of society has started to come under the BJP fold.
