Guwahati: Jibon Moran, a former top commander of the outlawed terrorist group United Liberation Front of Assam-Independent (ULFA-I), will be laid to rest on Monday at Kakopathar in the Tinsukia district.
His remains were brought earlier today from Doom Dooma to his home hamlet of Kakopathar.
Moran’s final rites will be carried out according to strict religious customs at his home village.
Thousands of people joined the procession on the streets as Moran’s body was being brought from Doom Dooma to his village.
It should be noted that Jibon Moran passed away on August 27 in the evening at the Apollo Hospital in Guwahati.
He was suffering from a serious health disorder. He was undergoing treatment for the same at the Apollo Hospital for the last one month.
