Guwahati: The Lat Mandal of Office of Circle Officer, Nagaon Sadar has been arrested by the sleuths of Directorate Vigilance and Anti Corruption Cell, Assam on Friday.
The accused identified as Ranjit Mahanta.
Ranjit Mahanta Lat Mondal o/o Circle officer Nagaon Sadar was caught and arrested while collecting bribe to process the complainant’s land mutation work.
The anti-corruption unit and the Assam Police are maintaining a close monitoring to stop all forms of corruption in the state. Additionally, the police have established a helpline at 1800-345-3767 where residents can report instances of bribery.
