Lebanon enters into two week nationwide lockdown

The Lebanon Government has announced two-week nationwide lockdown from Saturday to contain the second wave of COVID-19 in the country. With the new lockdown being imposed, Restaurants, Bars, Cafes, Gyms and Malls have been closed.

The Lebanese Government have issued strict orders and if anyone violates lockdown rules and regulations, capital punishment will be served. Prime Minister of Lebanon Hassan Diab said “Lockdown is not the solution but it is an opportunity to raise the country’s health sector preparedness given the dramatic increase in coronavirus infections over the past weeks.” Total number of COVID cases has surpassed 1 lakh mark in the country.
