Local Holiday Declared In Kamrup (M) On Oct 25

Guwahati: The Assam Government has declared Tuesday, October 25, as a local holiday in the entire Kamrup district on the account of Diwali.

This was informed through a notification issued by the General Administration Department of the government of Assam.

The notification read, “The Governor of Assam is pleased to declare Local holiday on 25 October, 2022 within the jurisdiction Kamrup (Metro) district on account of Diwali festival.”

Owing to this, all state government offices and educational institutions within Kamrup (Metro) district will remain closed on October 25.

In addition, all financial institutions in the district will also remain closed on the day, the notification mentioned.

It read, “All State Govt. offices, educational institutions within Kamrup (Metro) district will remain closed on 25th October, 2022 on account of this Local holiday.”

“All financial institutions within Kamrup (Metro) district under Section 25 of N.I. Act, 1881 (XXIVof 1881) read with the Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs Notification No.20/25/Pub-I dated 8th June 1957 will also remain closed on account of this Local holiday,” it further added.
