Guwahati: The Bajali District Administration has declared a local holiday in across the district on October 25 (Tuesday) on account of Diwali.
The order was issued by Deputy Commissioner Kaberi B Sarma.
All State Government Offices, schools and colleges, courts, banks within the District will remain closed, an official release issued by the Deputy Commissioner of Bajali read.
The festival of lights known as Deepavali is widely observed across the country. Pujas are performed, rituals are observed, homes are decorated with diyas, rangoli, ornaments, and lights, delicious sweets and meals are enjoyed, new traditional clothing is worn, and more.
