Lok Sabha Election 2024: Filing of Nominations for 2nd Phase of General Elections Starts Tomorrow
National Desk, 27th March: The Gazette notification for the General Elections to Lok Sabha 2024, encompassing 88 Parliamentary Constituencies (PCs) spread across 12 States/UTs, is slated to be issued on March 28, 2024.
Among these constituencies, polling for the 88 PCs, along with one part PC in Manipur (Outer Manipur), will be conducted on April 26, 2024.
Notably, the notification for elections in the Outer Manipur PC was already included in the gazette notification issued for phase 1.
This comprehensive electoral process will see 15 Assembly Constituencies (ACs) in the Outer Manipur PC heading to polls on April 19, 2024 (Phase 1), followed by 13 ACs in the same PC scheduled for polling on April 26, 2024 (Phase 2).
The Phase 2 elections will span across the states and union territories of Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jammu & Kashmir, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal, along with one part PC in Manipur (Outer Manipur).
