Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla to visit Assam

Guwahati: Om Birla, the Speaker of the Lok Sabha, will Assam Assam on Friday for a five-day visit. During his visit, he will take part in several Commonwealth Parliamentary Association programmes, according to an official statement.

The Speaker will fly out of New Delhi at 5:30 p.m. on Friday and arrive in Guwahati at 8:00 p.m., according to the Lok Sabha Secretariat.

The next day, at 9:00 a.m., he would attend the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association’s Executive Committee meeting for the first time. He plans to visit the Kamakhya temple around 11:30 a.m. At 4:30 p.m., he will hold a discussion with the Rajasthani community.

On April 11, Birla will open the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association India Region’s seventh convention.

It may be mentioned that during his visit to Assam, he will also participate in various sessions to be held throughout the day. He will conclude the conference on April 12 at 12:30 pm. The same evening at 6:20 he will leave for New Delhi.
