The boxer had on Saturday easily defeated Ariane Nicholson of New Zealand in the light middleweight 70kg division by a score of 5-0 to go to the quarterfinals.

However, after defeating Wales’ Helen Jones 5-0 on Wednesday, world champion Nikhat Zareen is guaranteed a medal in the women’s 50 kg light flyweight division. The 26-year-old Nikhat attacked Jones right away at the National Exhibition Centre.
