Sports Desk, 4th October: In a remarkable display of talent and determination, Lovlina Borgohain of India secured a silver medal in the women’s 75kg boxing category at the Asian Games. However, it was a hard-fought battle as she faced the host country’s favorite, Li Qian from China, in the final match.
Li Qian showcased her prowess and strategy, ultimately winning with a unanimous 5-0 decision from the judges. Despite Lovlina’s valiant efforts, she couldn’t sway the judges in her favor.
Lovlina’s journey to the final was marked by a spectacular semi-final victory against Thailand’s Baison Maneekon, earning her a well-deserved place in the title match. Additionally, her performance secured an Olympic quota for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, a testament to her skill and dedication.
