LS Elections 2024: Rahul Gandhi declares assets worth over Rs 20 crore

National Desk, 4th April: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Communist Party of India’s (CPI) Annie Raja submitted their nominations on Wednesday for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections scheduled for April 26.

Gandhi disclosed assets exceeding Rs 20 crore, comprising stock market investments amounting to Rs 4.3 crore, mutual fund deposits totaling Rs 3.81 crore, and a bank account balance of Rs 26.25 lakh. His affidavit also indicates cash holdings of Rs 55,000 and a total income of Rs 1,02,78,680 for the financial year 2022-23.

According to reports from Onmanorama.com, there has been a significant surge of 59 per cent in the gross total value of Gandhi’s movable assets over the span of five years, rising from Rs 5.8 crore in 2019 to Rs 9.24 crore in the latest affidavit.
