Maa Annapurna Trust Lights Up Ila Snehalaya with “Feeding Little Hearts” Initiative

Guwahati – The air at Ila Snehalaya, a sanctuary for underprivileged children, was filled with warmth and laughter today as the Maa Annapurna Trust successfully concluded its “Feeding Little Hearts” drive.

This heartwarming initiative saw the trust’s dedicated team spend a full day nurturing both the bodies and minds of the young residents.

In strict adherence to the Child Welfare Department’s guidelines, photographs of the children were respectfully avoided, ensuring their privacy and dignity remained paramount. Yet, the memories of the day, brimming with shared joy and genuine connection, are undoubtedly etched into the hearts of everyone present.

The day’s schedule was thoughtfully planned, commencing with a nutritious lunch service where wholesome meals were lovingly served to the children. This was followed by engaging interactive sessions that seamlessly blended education with entertainment. Children enthusiastically participated in classes, spirited games, and inspiring motivational talks, where they were encouraged to voice their aspirations – from dreaming of becoming doctors and teachers to artists and beyond. The day culminated in a delightful evening snacks drive, providing light refreshments and sweet treats that brought broad smiles to the children’s faces.

What truly stood out was the spirit of the volunteers. They didn’t just serve; they immersed themselves, reliving their own childhoods as they played, laughed, and learned alongside the children. This profound interaction transformed the experience, making it deeply moving for all who participated.

Rajesh Podder, Founder of Maa Annapurna Trust, extended his sincere gratitude to the selfless volunteers, unwavering supporters, and committed team members whose time, energy, and compassion were instrumental in making the drive a resounding success. The Trust looks forward to continued collaboration, inviting everyone to walk together in service of a brighter, more compassionate world, and to keep supporting their mission to uplift lives and spread smiles where they are needed most.
